Located entirely in northern Arizona, the park encompasses 277 miles of the Colorado River and adjacent uplands. One of the most spectacular examples of erosion anywhere in the world, Grand Canyon is unmatched in the incomparable vistas it offers to visitors on the rim. Grand Canyon National Park is a World Heritage Site.
This full day tour includes stops at the Grand Canyon and the Navajo Indian tour en route to the magnificent Grand Canyon. With several brief stops along the way, we will arrive just in time for lunch (on own).
After lunch at one of the restaurants at the Canyon, guests will be taken on a guided tour with ample time to get out and take pictures and enjoy spectacular views along the rim drive. Gift shops are open if anyone wishes to shop.
On the return trip, we will stop at a Trading Post on the Navajo Reservation with the painted desert as a backdrop. There they may buy directly from the Navajo people and learn about their culture.
Next it is back in the coach for the ride home with another stop at either Flagstaff or Camp Verde for a light dinner (on own).Allow 13 hours for this activity.
