Patté Williams
is a dynamic, exciting performer whose energy and
upbeat performance has made her one of the most popular
jazz, rhythm and blues acts in the Valley. She has
opened and been a background singer for such artists
as James Cleveland, Dorothy Norwood, Shirley Caesar,
Esther Rolle, Little Richard, Gladys Knight and the
Pips, Nancy Wilson, Aretha Franklin, Mabel King,
Linda Hopkins, Denice Williams, The Whispers, The
Staple Singers, B.B. King, and Bobby Bland.
Patté has
had several recording contracts including ones with
MGM Records, Electra-Asylum Records and Atlantic
Records. She has received over 30 plaques, certificates
and trophies including a Certificate of Appreciation
from Mayor Tom Bradley of Los Angeles, CA and a Certificate
of Proclamation from Mayor Charles Royer of Seattle,
WA proclaiming July 14 Patté Williams Day.
